About the DHSea Score bot
Back to DHSea Score · Last updated October 15, 2026
DHSea Score is a free website report card. When someone asks it to grade an address, our server fetches that page once. This page is for site owners who saw our requests in their logs.
What it does
- One request, on demand. A person typed your address and pressed the button. We fetch that single page, plus your
/robots.txt. We do not crawl links, spider your site, or fetch on a schedule. - It identifies itself. The user agent is
DHSeaScoreBot/1.0 (+https://dhseadev.online/; website self-check tool). - It is limited. It reads a capped amount of the response, stops after a short timeout, follows a few redirects, and refuses private addresses. Each person is limited to a few grades a day.
- It does not run your JavaScript, log in, submit forms, or store your page. We keep the score history only in the browser of the person who requested it (and in their account, if they signed in and chose that).
How to block it
Add this to your robots.txt. We honor a group that names our bot, and we do not fetch pages it disallows:
User-agent: DHSeaScoreBot Disallow: /
Rules under User-agent: * are not applied, because we are not a crawler; we load only the page a person asked for. To block us at your firewall, match the user agent token DHSeaScoreBot.
How to allow it
If a firewall or bot-protection service blocks us and you want your own site to be gradable, allow the user agent DHSeaScoreBot. Our requests come from Cloudflare’s network, so the source IP address is not fixed.
